I scan photos at 600 dpi, which provides better long-term quality and gives you more flexibility if you want to reprint or enlarge photos later. Epson lists 600 dpi as its higher-resolution/archival scanning option for FastFoto, with 300 dpi used for faster general scanning.
Higher-resolution options may be available by request, depending on the photo type.

Scanned photos are usually saved as JPEG files, which are easy to view, share, print, and upload.
Other file options may be available by request.
I can also organize scans into folders such as:
Family name
Year or decade
Event
Album name
“Box 1 / Box 2” style organization

Your photos are handled carefully and treated with respect. Please note that older, fragile, sticky, curled, torn, or damaged photos may be at risk of further wear during handling or scanning. I’ll review delicate items first and confirm the safest option before proceeding.
